Third Grade Information
A description of the Greendale School District's 3rd grade curriculum can be found here.
Specials Schedule:
Mondays: Spanish & phy. ed.
Tuesdays: Spanish & phy. ed.
Wednesday: Phy. ed. & music
Thursday: Art
Friday: Music and Spanish
Homework Expectations:
- Students should read at least 20 minutes at home each day. Early in the year, students will be asked to take note of three important events or details from the passage they have read. We will build toward writing summaries as the year progresses.
- By the end of Third Grade, students are expected to know their math facts. Practicing these facts each day (through flash cards or XtraMath) will allow students to learn them more quickly.
- Students will be given spelling lists on Mondays, and a spelling test will be given on Fridays.
Volunteering:
- Please click here to review our district's volunteer policy and complete a volunteer application.
Snacks:
Students may bring a healthy snack to class each day (fruit, vegetables, cereal, granola, etc.) Students are also encouraged to keep a water bottle at their desk.
